Before I arrive
The best thing you can do for shoot day is a 30-minute reset the evening before. Walk every room we're shooting and do the prep from the space guide: clear clutter, check linens, wipe surfaces, confirm your products are ready. That 30 minutes the night before saves an hour of scrambling the morning of.
- Rooms reset and camera-ready the evening before
- Staff confirmed, briefed on timing and wardrobe
- Models or clients confirmed with arrival time
- Products selected, cleaned, and staged on their surfaces
- A clear person designated as my point of contact on-site
Arrival and walk-through (30–45 minutes)
I arrive 30–45 minutes before shooting starts. This time is for walking through the space together, confirming the shot list, and me setting up lighting where needed.
- Walk me through each room or setup in the order we planned
- Flag anything that changed since we last communicated — a room that's not ready, a staff member running late
- I'll assess the light in each space and set up additional lighting where natural light isn't enough
- We'll confirm the shot priority list — what we absolutely need to get, and what's "nice to have"
First setup — highest priority shots (60–90 minutes)
We lead with the most important shots while energy is high and the space is at its freshest. For most esthetics sessions, this is treatment shots — practitioners performing services on models or clients.
- I direct positioning, but you're the expert on what your services look like at their best — communicate as we go
- I'll shoot stills and capture b-roll clips in the same setup to maximize efficiency
- Don't worry about every shot being perfect in real time — I'm reviewing constantly and will flag if something needs to be reshot
Middle of the session — variety setups (60–120 minutes)
After the priority treatment shots, we work through the remaining setups: product detail shots, before-after moments, branding and environment shots, additional staff or model moments.
- We reset rooms between setups — this takes 5–10 minutes and is worth it
- I'll manage the shot list and pace; your job is to be available to stage, assist, or redirect as needed
- This is when wardrobe changes and different backgrounds come in if we've planned for them
End of session — review and wrap (15–20 minutes)
- Quick on-site review of the day — we confirm we got everything on the priority list
- Any quick re-shoots if something critical was missed
- I'll let you know the delivery timeline and what to expect in the files
- If you have questions about the editing or tagging (Web Bank), this is a good time to ask
After the shoot
For Social Bank ($595): you'll receive your download link within 48–72 hours. Files are lightly processed, delivered as captured — ready to post.
For Web Bank ($795): delivery is 7–14 days. The extra time is the metadata and tagging pipeline — renaming, IPTC fields, alt text, folder structure. The files you receive at the end of that pipeline are the ones that work on your website and are built to be found in search.
